The title reveals a running theme in my life.
My watch – a simple face with two hands ticking away – big, bold and simple.
My horse – a big grey, bold jumper, with the guts of steel but the simple mind in which love produces results.
My car – a 5 door, golf with too many miles on the clock at such a young age, but again – big, bold and simple – it gets me from A to B, do I need anything else?
My religious beliefs or rather – my relationship with Jesus- he’s big and bold and it’s simple; he loves me unconditionally whatever misfortunes I create or happen down here on Earth. And is also never on holiday – simple.
My Earl Grey Tea obsession – can’t start the day without it, can’t have a decent conversation without it, can’t make decisions without it. Can’t live without it – simples.
My love for other humans and animals – pretty big and overflowing, pretty bold cause it can be seen as sarcastic or a little over the top (I get excited – okayyy!) and simple – it just is what it is.
My boyfriend – he’s big, the term tall is better in this instance, standing at 6’3″ (I think!), he’s bold – very good at commanding a room/being bold when it’s needed and simple – the simplicity is the good bit – he is what you see and nothing else. He’s ace.
The one exception to the rule is my little puppy called Zeus. He’s small, he’s as bold as he can be with an insane bark but he’s very complicated. He’s not like anything else I’ve loved or managed before – he’s the exception to all rules.
I can’t understand why he licks horse poo, why he licks my lips (mostly after the horse poo) and what makes this rather daunting thing so unbelievably cute but that’s the best thing about him – he’s the exception and I live that.
That’s just plain simple.
Are there any entries for the medium, average and manageable versions?
